Microsoft Dynamics 365 – Second Release Wave 2024

Autumn means a release wave for Microsoft. While the second wave of 2024, scheduled for October, focuses primarily on the use of advanced AI and Microsoft Copilot technologies, it also brings a number of new features to improve user productivity and streamline operations in the various Dynamics 365 enterprise applications.

  • Copilot: Power Automate workflow creation, easy sales line generation, ability to chat with Copilot within Business Central (available in January 2025), faster bank account reconciliation, faster product information creation, Improvements to ‘Analysis Assist’.
  • Finance: Extension of the standard report list with five new reports, addition of five row definitions and 12 column definitions, enabling the creation of more than 25 new reports, new subscription module for easier management of invoicing and recognition of income and expenses.
  • Power BI: Integration of many new ready-to-use reports for finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and projects.
