Microsoft Envision 2016: Empower People

Negotium Technologies attended the inaugural Microsoft Envision, April 4-6, 2016 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Business leaders from around the world gathered in New Orleans for an inspiring week of ideas, conversations, and insights on how technology can empower business transformation. More than 6,000 people from 70 different countries attended the conference. From the very inspiring Keynote given by Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft Corporation with special guest US Astronaut captain Scott Kelky to the closing Keynote by Tim Shriver, Special Olympics Chairman and the Reception and celebration party with the Grammy-award winning band “Train”, this event was the event to attend if you are a business leader.

Envision was intended for the Business Leaders and moved some of the deeply technical content to Microsoft Ignite and Microsoft Build so attendees at Envision can focus on challenges, trends and disruptors that are making and breaking companies today. Envision focused on Digital Transformation and Microsoft vision on how business and business models are digitally transformed. It presented the way Microsoft can help organizations go successfully through the digital transformation process in an Interconnected world by building intelligent platforms and reinventing business productivity and business processes.

EMPOWER was the key word of the conference with Microsoft Mission Statement: «Empower every person and every organization to achieve more».

Microsoft Session at Envision

About 300 very interesting sessions were held within those 2 days and half.  From Industry-focused topics to Industry Trends, the sessions were very informative. Many of them focused on Cloud (Why go to the Cloud, Which strategy to adopt, How to make a successful move to the Cloud), Mobility, Productivity and Microsoft integrated platforms, especially CRM and productivity tools such as Office 365.

Negotium representatives particularly appreciated the Keynotes and sessions with great speakers, such as Manufacturing: State of the Industry, that featured Gary Pisano, Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, Jerry Jasinowski, Chief Executive of the largest US industrial trade association, Jerry Knoben, Corporate Vice President Manufacturing Microsoft, Patricia Panchak, Editor-in-Chief of IndustryWeek and Pierfrancisco Manenti, Vice President, Research SCM World.

In a nutshell, it was a great event to attend! The next Microsoft Envision 2017 will kick off on February 27, 2017 in Los Angeles, CA! See you there!
